Throughout April, we invite you to help contribute towards our annual $48,000 goal to keep the pantry fully stocked and available to those in need. With the increase in pantry usage and rising food costs, your support is more crucial than ever to meet the growing demand and provide vital assistance to our clients. Your generous donation will ensure that individuals living with HIV have access to essential food, toiletries, and household items.

Provide two dozen cans of fruits and vegetables to help clients create balanced meals at home.

Cover the cost of 20 eight-ounce jars of peanut butter, an important source of protein for clients.

Supply three cases (90 bottles) of Ensure nutritional shakes to support healthy immune systems.

Create 31 client meals, including a meat, vegetable and fruit.

Fill 30 bags of client groceries, which feeds 10 clients each month (clients are eligible to receive up to three full bags of groceries per month).

The Gregory L. Manifold Food Pantry: A Lifeline for Our Clients
The Gregory L. Manifold Food Pantry (GLMFP) provides nutritious food, toiletries, and essential household items to individuals living with HIV. This in-house resource is more than just a pantry—it’s a crucial support system that helps ensure our clients don’t have to choose between food and other necessities.
A Growing Need, A Greater Challenge
More people than ever are turning to the GLMFP for help. Just last year, our pantry served an average of 60 people per month. This year, that number has already risen to 80 clients in January and 76 in February, with many longtime clients requesting food assistance for the first time. In just the first two months of 2025, 115 different clients have relied on the pantry at least once. That’s more than half of last year’s total of 214 for the entire year!
At the same time, rising food costs and a sudden loss of expected grant funding have doubled the amount needed to keep the pantry stocked. While just a few years ago our annual pantry budget was around $24,000, we now face a $48,000 annual cost to meet the growing demand. Without the grant support we previously relied on, we are now dependent on local businesses and individual donors to keep this vital resource available.
