Executive Director
The Gregory L. Manifold Pantry provides essential nutritional support to our clients.
Our in-house Gregory L. Manifold (PRC executive director 1998-2012) Food Pantry provides a variety of nutritional foods, toiletries and other essential household items for our clients living with HIV. As of 2024, nearly 200 referred clients have access to our internal pantry with over 75% using it EVERY MONTH. When fully stocked, the pantry boosts three large freezers offering frozen meals, meat, vegetables and sometimes bread, butter and cheese. Available in its dry goods section are canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, protein bars, boxed and canned meals, cereals and more. A selection of toiletries and household goods includes soap, shampoo, toothpaste, laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, diapers, and first aid materials.
After government funding cutbacks post-pandemic, our internal food pantry is now solely reliant on business and individual donations.
With a significant increase in clients using the internal food pantry every month, keeping it well-stocked will require over $37,000 annually. It would be even more if not for generous in-kind donations. We are so grateful for the support of our donors!
In 2023, we launched our Bag of Prevention program to raise awareness of our Gregory L. Manifold Food Pantry and request in-kind donations to help keep the pantry fully stocked for our clients. The response has been well-received! Anyone who requests a Bag of Prevention receives an empty, reusable orange tote bag and later returns it filled with canned goods, toiletries and other pantry donations and is honored as an official Northeast Indiana Positive Resource Connection Prevention Ambassador.
- Prevent hunger and lack of health resources for people living with HIV by keeping the Gregory L. Manifold food pantry fully stocked and accessible.
- Prevent gaps in connection by providing essential items and information to high-risk individuals in our community.
- Prevent new cases of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and STIs by ultimately allowing us to expand our services to everyone in need.
In conjunction with the Bag of Prevention program, everyone who donates to the annual Gregory L. Manifold Food Pantry Fundraising Campaign will be deemed an official Northeast Indiana Positive Resource Connection Prevention Ambassador.
