THRIVE+: Stories of Joy

A FUNDRAISER FOR POSITIVE RESOURCE CONNECTION

This is a space to celebrate strength, connection, and the moments of happiness found along the journey with HIV. If you’ve experienced joy in unexpected places or found light during challenging times, we encourage you to submit your idea and be part of an evening that uplifts and inspires.

We welcome stories from ANYONE whose life has intersected with HIV, whether you’re living with HIV, love someone who is, work in care or prevention, have taken PrEP, or simply want to reflect on a moment that challenged or inspired you.

If your story touches on joy, connection, or resilience related to HIV, we want to hear it!

Submission Guidelines

• Format: Upload a complete story or give a written synopsis describing your concept.

• Length: Final performances should run 3–5 minutes.

• Style: Spoken word, personal narrative, poetry—whatever best conveys your voice and perspective.

Anonymity Option

Not comfortable performing live, or wish to remain anonymous?

• On the online form, select your “Performance Preferences.”

• You can provide a pseudonym if you wish.

• We’ll match you with a performer who will deliver your story at the event. Your identity can stay private.

• Submission Deadline: July 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM

• Performance Location & Dates:

  • Arena Dinner Theatre (719 Rockhill St, Fort Wayne)

  • Friday & Saturday, August 22 & 23 @ 7:00 PM

  • Sunday, August 24 @ 2:00 PM

• Notification: Selected storytellers will hear from us by mid‑July.

NOTE: By submitting, you grant us permission to record and share your story for THRIVE+/Positive Resource Connection promotional and archival use. If you choose anonymity, credit will go to your pseudonym only, or remain anonymous.
