Happy and Healthy Holidays

Thank you!  Because of the generosity of our donors, more than 2,500 people in northeast Indiana have participated in HIV-prevention programs, over 1,000 people received free HIV testing, and nearly 500 people living with HIV have obtained housing and utility support, mental health counseling, food and nutrition help, transportation services, and assistance with medicine, labs and doctor appointment costs.  With our community’s help, these people are receiving the care necessary to keep themselves and their community healthy and safe.

Just take a look at one client’s case, Kayla (name has been changed to protect her privacy).  She arrived to the Positive Resource Connection with an unexpected HIV diagnosis, scared and unsure how she’d afford adequate care.  We immediately linked her up with one of our non-medical case managers and within just a few months she was receiving her medication under new medical insurance, had achieved an undetectable viral load, was having regular sessions with our onsite mental health counselor, access to our food pantry and freezer, and had renewed hope and confidence.

As we embark on our End-of-Year Campaign, we aim to raise $16,000 in direct support of our Client Assistance Funds by December 31^st, but we can’t do it alone.  Please join us by making your gift through our online donation form, or by sending a check (info below).  The well-being of hundreds of people are counting on you.  With your support, we can continue to impact our community in a lasting way.
