Thanks to your support, we were able to reach THOUSANDS of individuals in 2023 – more specifically, we tested 1,740 people for HIV and Hepatitis C; our Street Outreach program interacted with 3,043 community members; and we conducted 179 outreach and educational programs. In less than two months, you helped us surpass our End-Of-Year 2023 campaign goal and raised $36,606 bringing our 2023 fundraising total to $160,766! We’re doing good work with good results because of good partners like you. We look forward to another successful year of partnerships with you in 2024!
This January, we did a callout for canned soup donations to help supply our CANuary Community Soup Night. You did not leave us hanging! Over 1,300 cans of soup came through our doors. On January 31st, we welcomed community members inside for a hot cup of soup and their pick of cans to take home. Leftover cans are continuing to be distributed through our Gregory L. Manifold Client Food Pantry. Thank you!
National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day serves to educate, mobilize, and inspire action towards addressing the disproportionate impact of HIV/AIDS in Black communities and advocate for equal healthcare. The PRC Outreach Team hosted a community awareness event on February 7th by offering free testing, resources and lunch. We’re partnering with Q Care Plus to remove barriers and meet people where they are by making PrEP available online! Through convenient lab options (at-home or in-person), PrEP clients have the flexibility they need to access care. And with the use of our specialty pharmacy network, clients can receive their medication delivered directly to their homes. Learn more.

The PRC family joins the Witchey family in celebrating the life of Terry Witchey. She didn’t react to the AIDS crisis – she responded to it. She responded with grit and determination; facts and science; and most of all, love, compassion, and kindness. She helped so many who died of AIDS in those early days know that they had value and were worthy of love and belonging. Thank you, Terry, for spending such a large part of your life caring for others and making our lives better. We are honored to continue her legacy through memorial donations and providing the services she so adamantly supported. Read Terry’s obituary.
