Join us for an inspiring and transformative morning featuring Dr. Dontá Morrison and Marcel Webb, two powerful voices dedicated to creating inclusive spaces of hope and healing. Dr. Morrison will share his mission to recalibrate faith communities, particularly Christian churches, to be more welcoming and supportive of individuals marginalized by religious stigmas, including those living with HIV. Marcel Webb will bring her decades of experience in recovery and advocacy to offer hope and resources to those affected by HIV, drug addiction, and alcoholism. Together, they will guide us in breaking down stigma, fostering unity, and building stronger communities of support and compassion.

Free parking is available in the Silver Lot at Parkview Field. The venue is ADA accessible. 

About our Speakers

Marcel Webb

Marcel Webb is a seasoned HIV advocate, ZIP Coalition Consultant, Linkage to Care Coordinator, Peer Supporter, and television talk show host. Since moving to Indiana in 2018, she has worked as a Linkage to Care Coordinator for the Aliveness Project in Hammond, Indiana, before retiring in 2023. Marcel currently serves as a ZIP Coalition Coach Consultant with Community Solutions and is a passionate advocate for modernizing Indiana’s HIV criminal laws. Inspired by her faith and HIV diagnosis, Marcel launched her own talk show in 1999 dedicated to motivating and supporting those facing life’s challenges. With 33 years of sobriety through Alcoholics Anonymous, she remains committed to supporting individuals diagnosed with HIV, drug addiction, and alcoholism on their path to recovery.

Dr. Dontá Morrison

Dr. Dontá Morrison is a passionate advocate and educator with over 20 years of experience in community engagement and servant leadership. After his HIV diagnosis in 1999, he transformed personal tragedy into a mission to improve the wellness of marginalized individuals, particularly BIPOC LGBTQ communities. Dr. Morrison’s work focuses on deconstructing oppressive approaches to sex and sexuality, with a commitment to fostering inclusive spaces in faith communities. His doctoral research examined the impact of faith-based sexual exclusion on Black Christian gay and bisexual men. In 2023, he founded Red Rainbow, an organization dedicated to eradicating religious stigmas and creating inclusive worship environments.
